Certification

Before I attempt another certification, I'm going to ask myself this question: "Can I foresee a time in the future where not having this qualification will damage my career progression?" There are a number of other questions that need to be asked, but this one is key. Rather than compulsively appending letters to my business cards(vis. MBA, PhD, etc.) I believe that the focus should be on lazily doing only what it takes to get the job done in the market where the demand and supply for my skills are both uncertain. There, I said it.
